Maven Projects LLP has been appointed to lead the planning, design, and resident supervision consultancy for the 433-bed expansion of the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology and National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC–NIHD) in Rawalpindi.
Undertaken under the supervision of the Engineer-in-Chief (E-in-C) Branch, the project marks a major milestone in Pakistan’s healthcare development — enhancing access to specialized cardiac care, clinical research, and advanced medical facilities.
The upcoming building complex, comprising 2B + G + 3PL + 7 Floors, will accommodate a wide range of clinical, diagnostic, and research departments, including the National Electrophysiology and Cardiac Research Department (NEPCARD).
Designed as a state-of-the-art medical facility, the new AFIC–NIHD Tower will significantly expand the institute’s capacity to deliver advanced cardiac treatment, interventional procedures, and multidisciplinary care. The facility will also strengthen AFIC–NIHD’s standing as a national center of excellence in cardiovascular medicine, serving both military personnel and civilians from across Pakistan.
As the lead consultant, Maven Projects LLP is responsible for managing the project’s full lifecycle from concept development and healthcare planning to detailed architectural, structural, and engineering design, as well as resident supervision during construction and equipment commissioning. The firm’s scope of services encompasses comprehensive planning, detailed design integration across all disciplines, and technical oversight throughout implementation to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance.
